Our therapy team works side by side to create patient goals and address specific needs to develop individualized treatment plans. Our therpists use the latest techniques and research, from manual therapy to therapeutic exercise, to improve function of each patient by decreasing pain and increasing strength and range of motion
Mark Jones, PT, DPT, Cert MDT
Mark Jones is co-founder of Jones and Cowen Physical Therapy. He was born and raised in Giddings, TX and graduated from Giddings High School in 1992. Mark continued his education at Texas A&M University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 1997. He attended graduate school at Southwest Texas State completing his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. Mark began his career as a physical therapist in 1999 and further improved his skill and knowledge base through a Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from the McKenzie Institute in 2009, and completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in 2015. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Texas Physical Therapy Association.
Outside of work Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Danielle and children, Luke and Jocelyn. He is active in his church and is a member of the Giddings Breakfast Lions Club. His hobbies include saltwater fishing and golf.
Jeffrey Cowen, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Jeff completed high school in Dime Box, TX and then attended Blinn College and later Texas A&M University. There his love for math and science lead him into the healthcare field. He chose the field of physical therapy due to having a strong background in Anatomy and Physiology. Jeff completed his Masters of Physical Therapy at Southwest Texas State University. After completion, he chose to continue his education by attending a post-professional fellowship program through the Manual Therapy Institute. Jeff became a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and also became an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in the American Physical Therapy Association in 2007. Continuing education is always on Jeff’s mind, because he wants to bring the best in health care intervention to the area where he grew up. He recently completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in the fall of 2015.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids. He is an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and he also enjoys coaching various sports for his kids teams.
Whitney Hamilton, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert DN
Whitney Hamilton was born and raised in Lincoln, TX and graduated from Dime Box High School in 2005. Whitney received her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology – Motor Behavior in 2009 from Texas A&M University. In 2011, Whitney received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Whitney’s post-graduate studies include post-surgical rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, and sports performance. In 2015, Whitney became certified in Dry Needling (Cert. DN) and utilizes this technique as an adjunct with manual therapy and exercise to treat her patients in the outpatient setting. She also earned her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification (OCS) in 2018 through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists.
Whitney joined the Jones & Cowen team in 2020, when her family moved back to Lee County. In her free time, Whitney enjoys spending time with her husband and son, attending sporting events,(specifically the Fightin' Texas Aggies) and traveling.
Stephanie Sanders, MSPT
Stephanie Sanders was born and raised in Bellville, TX where she attended high school. From there, Stephanie attended Texas A&M University and completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 2004. She continued her education at UTMB in Galveston where she received a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in December of 2006. She started her career in January 2007 and has experience in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, and home health care. She joined the Jones & Cowen team in 2012.
Stephanie enjoys attending Aggie football games with her husband. She loves being at home with her two young boys on the days that she does not work.
Taylor Riley, PTA
Taylor graduated from La Grange High School in 2007. During her high school years she decided on a Physical Therapist Assistant career and accomplished her goal graduating from Austin Community College in 2011. Just after graduation she joined the Jones & Cowen team, and continues to enjoy the fun, family, atmosphere. Outside of work she enjoys reading, hiking, and tackling home projects with her husband and two daughters.
Analyse Meyer, PTA
Analyse joined the Jones & Cowen team in June of 2014 as a new graduate of Blinn College PTA program. Prior to Blinn, Analyse attended Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She loves working with patients of all ages and diagnosis to help them reach their maximum performance. In her free time, Analyse enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters.
Hannah Ullrich, PTA
Hannah graduated from Round Top-Carmine high school in 2017. She then continued her education at Texas Lutheran University where in 2020 she earned her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology - Exercise Science. While at Texas Lutheran Hannah competed with the Track & Field team in both the Discus and Hammer throws. Hannah joined the Jones and Cowen team in June of 2022 as a new graduate of the Blinn PTA program. In her free time, Hannah enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and bonus daughter
Taylor Jackson, PTA
Taylor Jackson was born and raised in La Grange TX. Taylor graduated from La Grange High School in 2015. Taylor is a recently graduated from South University- Round Rock PTA program March 2023. In her spare time Taylor enjoys spending time with her finance Trevor and her family, spending time outdoors and reading a good book
Ema Murillo, Office Staff/Tech
Ema joined the Jones & Cowen team in July of 2008. She enjoys her co-workers, helping patients, and the overall caring atmosphere. Ema is lovingly referred to as "Momma Ema" at our Giddings location as she is always taking care of the staff's and clinic's needs. In her free time, Ema loves spending time with her family including her husband and numerous nieces and nephews. She also enjoys family gatherings and helping at her church.
Perla Morales, Office Staff/Tech
Perla graduated from La Grange High School in 2007 and joined our team in 2011. She enjoys meeting new people and helping our patients. In her free time, Perla loves spending time with her husband and three daughters.
